Once you are able to leave the hospital, a patient transporter will take you to the Hospital Patient Discharge Pick-up area on the first floor of the hospital near the gift shop. The patient transporter will wait with you until your driver arrives. The area has a roof to protect you from inclement weather.
The entrance is accessible from Second Avenue, which is just west of First Avenue on the medical center campus. The driveway to the pick-up area is just north of Loyola University Hospital Tower.
